With chanted psalms and lamentations, this beautiful and ancient tradition is a prayerful way to begin your Holy Saturday. It will last about one hour.
HELPING WITH THE EASTER VIGIL CELEBRATION
Please consider signing up for a role at the Easter Vigil Celebration. Your help is what makes this celebration possible. There are 2 key ways to help:
1. EVENT HELP
Volunteer to help with the celebration setup, during the event, or clean up. Roles are broken into time slots and specific jobs!
2. AT-HOME FOOD PREP
Making the feast for the Easter Vigil Celebration requires a lot of help. We want those involved to be able to be with their families on Easter Weekend so we’re asking for help from parishioners with cooking in advance! The main dish will be prepared at Holy Name, but we need help with the side dish. The recipe is provided and reimbursements will be issued for the cost of food.
All are invited to bring a dessert to share to the Easter Vigil Celebration. Refrigerator space is limited, so please bring a dessert which can be stored at room temperature.
